Danan The Jungle Fighter was a game I couldn't get into properly when I was young (then again, I don't think I had much patience for many platformers back then~) and I've always been putting off revisiting it whenever it comes up in my list of SMS games I haven't completed yet but seeing you complete it makes me want to attempt it once again. The one thing I remember most about this game is that it shares music with G-LOC (the SMS version)! This game's boss theme is also the boss theme for G-LOC (with the pitch slightly altered). It's nice to see you upload again (I remember watching your Lord of the Sword playthrough ages ago when I was looking for a playthrough of that game) and when I saw this video pop up and saw your user name, I was like "Oh my! It's that channel I watched ages ago!" and had to finally subscribe. Sorry for the wordy comment.

I wasn't too surprised at lots of texts for a rather simple platformer, but I did when I realized it's a full-scale pulp adventure.

Conceptually this strongly reminds me of the Wizards & Warriors series on NES (especially the 2nd). Not the same genre, but you're an armour-clad dude who can use the ocassional magic. Some of the tracks had a similar sound to ones like these iirc.

The idea of some absolutely hulking, muscle-bound behemoth just running around shanking everything with a little butter knife is utterly hilarious to me. (Also, damn 2 videos already. I'm starting to believe in miracles.)

They didn't have to make the music go this hard, but they did. We thank them for that.

The composer of this game really knew how to bring out the best in the MD/Genesis. If every game on the system used a proper composer, the system would have dominated so hard.

Damn this game has some GOOD music in it.
